his leading Warrington based firm is currently seeking to hire a Project Lead to manage a portfolio of IT projects and the delivery of a number of developed applications.
You will be Prince 2 certified and will have a minimum of 3 years at managing small to medium projects ideally within the insurance sector. You will also have a reasonable understanding of technology and have a thorough understanding of application development lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities:· Manage individual or multiple projects which have been established created to meet the tactical or strategic ambitions of the business.
· Provide low level requirements gathering/analysis in order to assemble effective IT solutions.
· Be an expert diplomat in managing stakeholder expectation throughout the project life-cycle.
· Have a strong customer service orientation as the role is about delivering the right services to the right place at the right time using the IT teams as the mechanism.
· There will be occasions where the post holder will need to represent the Department and the business in the face of clients and so being an expert communicator and extremely user-friendly is a necessity.
· Provide adequate regular updates to the business and business leaders about changes and improvements that have been managed through the portfolio.
· Manage the financial and commercial components of all projects via the usual steering groups or project forums required expedite the project.
· Manage projects using the most appropriate methodologies of the day instilling confidence in project sponsors and stakeholders by demonstrating absolute control of the project, its risks and issues etc.
Through comprehensive but pragmatic documentation.
· Work alongside other Business Partners within HR, Finance and IT etc. to ensure a consistent and 'joined-up' approach to supporting the business need.
· Broker high quality relationships with internal supporting departments.
