Desktop supervisor / Trading environment / market data /
My client is a leading global investment bank. They require a service delivery lead to take responsibilty for desktop services in their trading environment.
* At least 3 years experience as a lead or supervisor in a desktop support and/or trading environment.
* At least 5 years experience as a System Engineer.
* At least 10 years IT Infrastructure experience.
* Produce and disseminate performance reports to executive management.
* Create and execute project plans and change orders for executive management.
* Provide HR administration to a team of 7 system engineers.
* Providing innovative ideas on tools and technologies to improve service levels and customer satisfaction.
* Daily support of a very active, fast-paced, high volume, Trading environment.
* Work flexible hours including late nights and weekends as needed. Very minimal travel required.
* Manage problem resolution to a satisfactory completion by keeping abreast of assigned tickets and following the proper escalation processes.
* Manage and coordinate complex hardware/software deployments.
* Responsible for day-to-day implementation, support, and maintenance of infrastructure, including all hardware, software, telephone, and turrets.
* The ability to support remote offices as needed.
* Submit application-packaging requests and certify for production.
* Support application deployments.
* Support Active Directory (AD Security), Printer Servers, Networking devices (Patching, Testing, and Support), NAS File Security, BCP (Setup, Configuration, and Testing), and Firewall Rules.
* Responsible for day-to-day support, and maintenance of infrastructure, including all hardware, software, and telephones.
* Documentation of all systems including existing and new application, scheduled maintenance, and incoming direct wires/demark information.
* Ambitious and willing to learn new technologies.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral will be needed as well as strong organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Proven track record of meeting operational deadlines and service level objectives.
* Ability to multitask.
* Suggest alternative methods and procedures for solving problems and meeting changing priorities.
* Working knowledge of Call Tracking/Knowledge Warehouse systems.
* Outstanding customer service skills.
* Superior organizational skills with emphasis on detail and follow-up.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
* Strong knowledge of Market Data applications including Thompson One, Bloomberg, and Fidessa.
* Strong knowledge of Incident and Change Management systems. Remedy a huge plus.
* Knowledge of security and compliance practices a huge plus.
* Strong Windows XP/7 skills.
* Strong Outlook 2010 skills.
* Strong Office 2010 skills.
* Strong Scripting skills.
* Strong Networking skills.
* Strong Print Server skills.
* Strong knowledge of Server 2008 including Active Directory.
* Strong knowledge of Exchange 2010.
* Strong knowledge of Switches and Routers.
