Business Analyst - Information Security - Central London
My client, a high profile media organisation, is looking for a Business Analyst with strong Stakholder Management to join their team to work on a number of Information Security projects.
Role Description:
An experienced business analyst is required to join a dynamic technology team. The BA must be able to engage with various business stakeholders across a large and complex media organisation in a professional yet personable manner. These stakeholders may vary in seniority and the BA must be able to tailor their communication appropriately.
This role will involve working on a number of Information Security related projects. It would be useful if the analyst has had previous experience on similar projects.
The BA should be confident, proactive and a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision. In addition, the analyst will be required to create written documentation according to industry standards.
Core BA skills:
· Elicit and capture requirements from key business stakeholders.
· Manage conflicting priorities between different user groups within the organisation.
· Business process modelling - as- is and to-be process
· Ability to engage with senior stakeholders across the organisation at the appropriate level.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
· Familiarity with industry standard UML (Unified Modelling Language)
· Connect business requirements and business process models to use case and user stories and software design models for end to end traceability.
· Ability to facilitate workshops with key stakeholders, business users and Subject Matter Experts (SME's)
Technical Skills:
· Ability to create terms of reference for a technical proof of concept
· Write success criteria and evaluate the results of Proof of Concept
· Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and gather their specific security related concerns and translate these into requirements
· Participate in vendor evaluation and selection processes.
· Conduct business needs analysis
· Understands and can communicate complex security requirements clearly and concisely
Ideally the candidate should have:
· Previous experience working on information security projects or related projects
· Previous experience in a complex media environment.
· Exposure to Business case writing
· Experience working in Agile and Waterfall methodologies with the ability to write system test and user acceptance test scripts.
· Have the ability to work well under pressure.
· Have the ability to engage with PM's, test teams and software developers.
· Ability to engage and liaise with senior business stakeholders/sponsors
