E-Business Suite DBA - 10 Month Contract (Initially) - Bradford (West Yorkshire)
As part of the database support team primarily providing support for our live and test E-Business Suite mid-tier and database instances. In addition assisting in the support of our remaining database estate consisting of Oracle 10 and 11g technologies.
Skills Required:
· E-Business Suite administration including:
* Application of patches
* Performance diagnosis and optimisation
* System monitoring and reporting
* Bug analysis and applying fixes
* Instance cloning
· Installation and support of 10 and 11g databases to agreed standards minimising downtime;
· Preparation for and application of database patches through * patch;
· Database administration (user / locks / object / space) on multiple enterprise scale systems;
· Backup and recovery using RMAN
· Rapid and focused database performance analysis and optimisation;
· UNIX Shell scripting;
· SQL scripting;
· Database security;
· Database clones;
· 10g or 11g OEM Grid Control;
· Application Development life cycle;
· Analysis and correction of faults raised by users and developers to agreed SLAs;
· Ability to problem solve within complex technical environments;
· Excellent customer service;
· Ability to work within a skilled and motivated technical support team;
· Strong written and verbal communication;
· Ability to follow instructions accurately and work rigidly to specific standards and practices;
Essential Experience in Technologies and Tools:
· Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11 (11.5.10.2)
· Exposure to HRMS and Finance E-Business suite modules
· Enterprise scale multi-node E-Business suite management
· Oracle 10g & 11g rdbms on UNIX (HP Itanium preferred)
· Oracle Enterprise Manager (11g)
Desirable Experience in Technologies and Tools:
· E-Business Suite upgrade from R11 to R12
. Oracle 11g upgrades
· Oracle ASM
· Oracle RAC
· Oracle RAT
· Oracle advanced compression
· Datapump
· Oracle GoldenGate
· Data warehousing and Business Intelligence
