SAP Basis Consultant - Administrator, Admin, Netweaver, ECC 6, Troubleshoot, ABAP, BI, SRM, SCM, PI, JAVA, Linux
My client is a major player in the media world based in London is currently looking for an SAP Basis Administrator to join their team. This position will look to work on BAU as well as on projects on a large SAP Landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
* Have the drive to explore opportunities to improve existing and new SAP Basis technologies and optimal parameter settings.
* Be a key member of the SAP Basis/Netweaver team and will demonstrate proven skills in contributing to the Basis function.
* Have proven ability in support of multiple dev, test and production SAP systems.
* Integrate with the SAP application development team
* Interact with Infrastructure and Operations team on a daily basis
Key Skills:
* Full SAP product life cycle experience
* Extensive Basis experience with knowledge of some of the following components - R3/ECC6, BI, SRM, SCM, EP, PI, Solution Manager
* ABAP and JAVA dual stack experience.
* Oracle database knowledge at version 10 or 11
* Homogenous system copy experience of ABAP & JAVA
* Linux Admin skills v.10
* Performance, capacity analysis skills
* In-depth Transport Management System knowledge
Desirable Skills:
* A good IT background, preferably a degree.
* Specialist knowledge in SCM or PI
* Transport Management System knowledge
* Brtools skills
* System tuning knowledge
* Web Browser interface and troubleshooting skills
* CTS+ is beneficial as is NWDI
* RMAN backup skills
* IXOS EConServer management knowledge
* SAP Technical Landscape design abilities
* SOA awareness
* Portal configuration and maintenance
* SLD configuration and maintenance
* Certificate maintenance skills
Key Competencies:
* Be a conscientious person with a ';can do’ attitude
* Be pro-active with the ability to deal with emergencies, with little or no supervision
* Have an aptitude for gaining knowledge and sharing that knowledge with users and team members alike, who will have varying degrees of SAP knowledge
* Likes working in a team and is tolerant of others
* Have the ability to go that extra mile to ensure the success of the team and the department
* Have the capacity to interact effectively with other people both on a one to one basis and in groups, including understanding and responding to the needs of the client and working effectively as a member of a team to achieve a shared goal
* Be prepared to work beyond their contractual days and hours in order to get the required results when either emergency arise, or business dictates that their services are needed
* Be prepared to operate within an out of hours support rota to ensure the optimal up time of the SAP systems
