Business Analyst / Project Manager OTC Derivatives sought by my City based Investment Banking Client for an initial 6 month contract.
Role description:
PM / BA required to work on a series of reg changes being institued across Global OTC Derivatives market, specifically relating to Dodd Frank / EMIR.
Primary Responsibilities
* The primary responsibility of the Business Analyst/Project Manager is to analyse impacts of Dodd Frank and EMIR protocols against existing Trading arrangements.
* work in close alignment with the Trading Documentation team to assess impacts to all ISDA agreements for OTC Derivatives, including bilateral and undocumented agreements.
* work closely with the Programme Manager in developing mitigation strategies to minimise risk, ensuring Client Readiness. This is to ensure minimal disruption to sales and trading.
* work closely with the clearing and client data teams to ensure counterparty classification is reflected accurately re adherence to protocols.
* Analysis may also be required to determine the clearing category classification for Dodd Frank and EMIR.
* work closely with the Compliance and Legal team to monitor any changes to regulations and analyse the impacts to existing trading arrangements. This may also cover elements of trade reporting, electronic trading and clearing.
* support of the Programme Management Office
Experience
Proven track record in Project Management and Business Analysis for new regulatory implementations within an Investment Bank, being able to make appropriate Risk / Value assessments and propose a range of realistic and appropriate remedies
Experience of OTC Clearing, Trade Reporting, Confirmations, Settlements preferred
Business Knowledge
* Good understanding of Derivatives including Rates, Credit, FX, Equities, Commodities and Futures
* Good understanding of Dodd Frank / EMIR Protocols
Technical
* Highly developed skills in producing detailed business / functional requirements and use of presentation toolsets such as MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio
