Microsoft Navision Developer

My client, a large consumer goods supplier, is looking for a Microsoft Navision Developer to work on what will initially be a three month contract.

Due to the nature and amount of work they currently have, there is a good chance the contract will be extended.

The day rate our client is looking to pay is relatively flexible, starting from £250 up to around £350 per day depending on experience.

Performing applications development tasks within the deployed Microsoft Dynamics Navision ERP environment, you will report into the Applications Development & Support Manager. The role will include some business analysis exposure leading to applications development ranging from customisation and enhancements to the existing environment to new modules, whilst ensuring full compatibility and integration with all operational business solutions.

All developments are to be conducted within the existing IT Standards and Project Framework.The role also requires the holder to provide (following an induction and on-the-job training period) 2nd and 3rd line support services to the user community for all supported ERP and related applications across all business locations.

Skill set will include:

Microsoft Dynamics Navision ERP 2009 (or later), including Navision Financials 5.1, SOP, POP, Inventory and Warehousing

Navision 5.1 C/Side development experienceØ Windows Mobile

.Net with C# development (desirable not essential)

SQL skills including SQL Server and reporting Services (desirable, not essential)

Data Warehouse experience (Cognos), desirable, not essential)

Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables), desirable, not essential)

Evidence of self-sufficiency with strong verbal and written communications skills

Organised with effective personal time management

Business analysis experience with evidence of having taken responsibility for defined elements of work to defined standards
