Applications Support Team Lead - Birmingham - £35-40k.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Applications Support role, joining one of Birmingham's leading Blue Chip employers. Joining a business and a team which are growing rapidly, you will be eager to learn and develop your career path further within a matrix environment. This role is an approximate 70-30 split of technical and client-facing work. As a senior member of the team you will mentor and manage L1 and L2 analysts plus liaise with stakeholders to proactively manage incidents.

Knowledge of Oracle, SQL, Unix, Linux, Perl Scripting and Sun Solaris are beneficial but not essential as is a background in bespoke application support.

You will also posses excellent communication skills and the ability to establish and foster relationships both internally and externally, at all levels within IT and the wider business.

In this role, you will:
· Assist with the efficient and effective running of the service desk
· Perform Escalation Management to Business and IT stakeholders
· Hold weekly and monthly client interactions and status reviews
· Monitor and ensure Customer Satisfaction
· Ensure compliance to SLAs with the Business
· Analyse and assess Service Improvements and Efficiencies
· Work with Problem management teams

You will need to be able to demonstrate a strong theoretical understanding of Production Management, Service Delivery and ITIL.
