Director of Service Delivery & IT Operations - Manchester
6 Month Contract - £850 per day
This Manchester based E-Commerce business is seeking to hire a Director of Service Delivery on an initial 6 month interim contract. The ideal candidate will have experience of leading teams of up to 30, will be ITIL focussed with an understanding of Agile and will have experience of working with an online/E-Commerce business. Candidates will also have experience of managing large external data centres and will have demonstrable experience of building relationships between Service and the rest of the business.
Background:
* Strong experience across Service management and IT Infrastructure, leading teams of up to 30. ITIL focused, however with experience of aligning to other departments within an Online business
* Strong emphasis on supplier management and contract negotiation
Further Skills:
* Strong stakeholder management - will liaise heavily with c level so must have extensive experience in this space
* Must be a confident yet approachable leader, able to liaise at all levels.
* Self starter, able to take key objectives and lead without too much direction
* Work collaboratively with peers to ensure the success of the business is achieved.
* Strong budget/finance/P&L experience
Deliverables:
* Build internal relationships with peers across IT to ensure rapid release of new business functions and capabilities in a rapidly changing ecommerce world
* Review existing datacentre services and maximise value from virtualising and reducing external spend
* Look at service strategies to ensure value for money through outsourcing and right sizing Service organisation.
