Contract Database Administrator (SQL) required urgently for a 3 month contract. This market leading & fast paced ecommerce organisation is based in Central Leeds. This vibrant organisation requires an experienced Contract SQL DBA will support the production SQL Server environment and help to assist in supplying 3rd line on-call support for core business applications. You will have excellent communication skills and you will enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing SQL Servers that support business critical applications in a high availability environment, resolving business impacting incidents quickly and effectively and identifying and resolving problems to ensure potential incidents are prevented.
The successful candidate will have strong experience in a dedicated DBA role, supporting Microsoft SQL Server (2008 preferred) in a production environment and experience of production support within a Windows environment.
Experience of SQL Servers utilising SAN attached storage and supporting Microsoft SQL Server within a development environment are both desirable.Exposure to SQL 2012 would be an advantage.![]()
