IT Support Manager - Permanent - £30K
A growing North West SME, are looking for an IT Support Manager to join their team in Preston. Applicants need to show that they can thrive in a fast-paced and challenging role under pressure; this role would be ideal for someone who really wants to get stuck in to an interesting and challenging role.
The successful applicant will must have experience in a technical support management role with demonstrable experience of managing and mentoring support teams with sound knowledge of PC & Tablet PC Hardware, Operating Systems and Microsoft applications (especially MS Excel).
Previous experience of managing complex infrastructure environments, preferably with exposure to MS Server, MS Exchange, MS SQL, Networks, Citrix, and application deployments (including non-standard applications) in a Citrix environment will be necessary to deliver the support needed for the business.
Previous experience within a medium sized company and/or financial services environment is desirable although we are essentially looking for a highly technically competent individual, with a strong focus on the Ability to succinctly identify and document business requirements.
Of course this will be a "hands on" role, requiring the individual to be organised, demonstrate attention to detail, excellent communications and working with their team to tight deadlines in order to deliver the best solution for the business. Interaction will be required at all levels within the business from users to Board level with clear focus on providing high quality customer service.
