Head of Product & Software Development, Leeds (West Yorkshire), up to £80,000 + car/car allowance + Benefits.
A genuinely exciting opportunity to join a highly reputable and successful, FTSE international business based in Leeds in a newly created position as the Head of Product & Software Development.
The role will see the successful candidate responsible for the overall direction, strategy and roadmap of product software development for a leading B2B service provider and will combine excellent software engineering disciplines with strong commercial and business insight that will ensure the company's growing suite of products are aligned with the company's strategic and commercial objectives.
The role will have responsibility for 1 direct report with a team of 12, and will need to work closely with the Head of IT Strategy & Architecture to define both the product and technology roadmaps.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading and directing a software development function, preferably with experience of developing a commercial software product suite for customers. You will also have extensive experience and knowledge of Agile, ideally be Scrum Master certified, although this is not essential if you have demonstrable experience of Agile approaches.
To be successful you will need to be technologically proficient and be able to lead the strategic direction of the Product & Software Development function. Driving the highest quality of standards and approaches whilst also considering emerging trends and technologies alongside the legacy technologies that exist.
You will lead and oversee all Clients’ technical quotes, analysis and specification to make sure they are complete, accurate and commercially viable.
