Senior Developer .NET MVC TDD REST WCF SQL E-COMMERCE AGILE OO MICROSOFT RETAIL
Our client, a leading and highly prestigious e-commerce retailer is currently recruiting for a Microsoft Senior Developer to join their team based at their incredible HQ in West London.
They are looking for someone with experience in developing large scale, high traffic web applications and batch processing systems including the ability to optimise for application and database performance.
You should be passionate about software development and have opinions on the relative merits of technology options (and be able to defend them!). They are currently transitioning their existing web applications to a Service Orientated Architecture - ideally you will have experience in this area and be able to help and advise them going forward.
This position will involve providing technical leadership to a small team of developers. You will be working with business analysts, DBA’s, testers, developers, and our infrastructure technicians; you will design, code, and test software solutions. Your ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, as well as work independently while managing your own priorities is a key requirement of this position.
This job exists to ensure that the team consistently and efficiently produces high quality maintainable and flexible code that follows the principles and architecture that will support this amazing companies IT strategy.
What are they looking for in you?
*Experience in structured systems development environment.
*Experience in designing and building web applications
*Experience in analysing and documenting application design requirements for coding by junior developers
*Experience in leading junior developers in the coding of the assigned work as needed
*Test Driven Development (TDD) experiece would be great!
*Excellent knowledge of the full Microsoft .NET framework (c#) and how to use it to build web applications
*Excellent Knowledge of designing and building .NET WCF/REST Services
*Knowledge of Object Orientated Analysis and Design, UML and design patterns
*Knowledge of SQL and experience of developing enterprise level databases.
