Project Manager - Software Development - IT Business Change - Appilications - System Integration - Code Delivery - Preston
A well-established organisation is seeking a Project Manager to join their fast-paced business environment. You will manage the end to end delivery of change projects into the organisation, whilst managing cross functional teams of varying sizes to deliver changes that impact the business operation. You will also have responsibility for delivery of business, software development and IS change projects.
Project Management of change and software development projects, which will include the delivery of systems enhancements and business change will be key, with the individual accountable for running multiple projects and/or work-streams CONCURRENTLY.
You will ensure that systems changes fit within the general applications architecture & strategic framework, as well as leading & motivating a virtual team responsible for requirements gathering, business analysis, impact assessment, system design & specification, technical documentation, code delivery, system testing, UAT, implementation, business acceptance and handover to support teams.
Effective project governance in accordance company standards and procedures, along with ensuring systems development work is carried out to defined standards and procedures will be paramount.
You will also be accountable for estimating, project planning, reporting issue & risk management throughout the delivery lifecycle; as well as ensuring business readiness to accept the delivered change, including training, communications and any modifications to business process and/or organisational design.
You will liaise and negotiate directly with the key operational stakeholders in order to understand business requirements and agree project plans, costs and timescales and be expected to build strong relationships with sponsors & stakeholders, working with them to initiate, shape and deliver change.
