Senior Programmer Cobol and iSeries

Senior Programmer/Analyst - Contract London - 40-45 p/h

My client are a large media company based in West London, my client they are currently recruiting for some one to join their team in London to help with their workload in supporting the bussiness.

My client needs a person who has strong experience and in depth knowledge of COBOL on the iSeries (aka AS/400), the ideal candidate will have good experience of trouble shooting problems.

Candidates will need good experience of working in teams and also a proven track record in producing quality documentation.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

* In depth knowledge of COBOL on the iSeries (aka AS/400)

* Competent CL developer

* Experienced application developer

* Ability to work on own initiative / take on responsibility

* Excellent English written and verbal communication skills

* Good inter-personal skills



DESIRABLE SKILLS

* Experienced Team Leader

* Knowledge of Synon/2E

* Experienced in using SQL on iSeries

* Experienced in use of Turnover or similar change management tool

* Experienced in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
