Business Solutions Manager / Business Analyst - Derbyshire

We are looking for Business Solutions Manager to join our Product Development Function. In this role you will be working with our customers, senior management and technical delivery teams. With our customers, you will need to understand what drives their business and ensure that our offerings create value for them and help them get ready to take advantage as a product is delivered into service. You will need to convey to our delivery teams the priorities of our customers and senior management in order to create the technical solutions. Communication, questioning and attention to detail are therefore the key attributes for this role.

Our main areas of work have their roots in engineering infrastructure, however, we are offering products and services that deliver benefit to the operations and delivery of the customer service. It is in these areas that we are looking to increase our technical capacity.

You will have experience of working on the introduction of technology that has enabled business to transform their operations, and that experience may have come from sectors such as travel, transport, utilities, telecoms, industry or commerce. The key common factor will be the creation of value from data and information, enabling your customers to realise business benefits.

Skills:
· Strong communication at many levels within an organisation
· Able to create compelling business cases
· Create and maintain requirements catalogues
· Model system use cases/user stories
· Working with different delivery models, from structured iterative approaches to Agile, dependent on the System Engineering requirements of different products

· Strong commercial appreciation of how our customers create value and how technology supports this
· Strong focus on how data and information drives a modern business
· Strong appreciation of how users interact with systems and data and how this influences the User Experience design of product
· Ability to work in a dynamically changing environment where priorities/scoping changes based on market needs
· Able to work effectively with limited customer exposure/direction
· Self-sufficient, flexible approach to tasks
Technical Experience
· An IT background in product development, where data, design and change have all been key elements. Our development architecture is increasingly COTS based, with a backbone of technologies such as WebSphere, ORACLE data, Java plus a range of UI delivery platforms.


Based in Derbyshire, this role is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation on the beginning of a huge transformation into becoming a true Software Solutions Provider. With excellent transport links to the midlands, we are looking at a salary in the region of £50,000pa to £70,000pa.
