IS Validation and Testing Manager
Client: Very large Social Housing Organisation in Newcastle
Salary: Up to £39,000 depending on experience
The role: To manage all IS validation and testing activities with responsibility for ensuring that any new or changed IS service matches its design specification and will meet the needs of the business.
Specifics:
· Previous experience of designing, implementing , managing and improving an IS validation and testing process in a large orgaation.
Experience of leading and managing a team of IS professionals and of providing on-going staff development and support
ITIL V3 Certified
Duties:· Design, implement, own, manage and improve a formal IS validation and testing process based on ITIL best practice that provides objective evidence that new or changed services will support business and stakeholder requirements, including the agreed service levels.
· Define and implement the overall IS test strategy and manage test environment requirements.
· Work with the IS Change & Release Manager and IS Project Managers to ensure that there is an integrated approach.
· Design and plan testing conditions, test scripts and test data sets during service design , to ensure adequate coverage and control.
· Allocate and oversee test resourc ensuring that test policies are adhered to.
· Oversee the recording, analysing, diagnosing, reporting and managing of test events and retest dependent on agreed criteria.Verify that tests conducted during change management, release management or under formal project management are as defined in test plans and as documented during service design
