SQL Server Developer

SQL Server Developer (3 Month) - CONTRACT

A well established business is currently looking for a SQL Server Developer for a 3month contract to join their world class team based in Manchester City Centre.

The successful candidate should have experience working within an Agile work environment and show an eagerness to build upon that experience.

Essential
· 3+ Years experience using SQL Server 2008/2008R2/2012.
· Excellent knowledge of optimisation for high concurrency.
* Ability to read, understand and explain execution plans is essential.
* Use of SQL Profiler to identify issues in direct SQL (Queries, Stored Procedures, Functions) and indirect (Code, ORM tools).
* Experience of creating and maintaining indexing strategies.
* Experience of working with file groups and their associated files (Splitting data into smaller chunks physically on disk for faster retrieval).
· Experience of working with Visual Studio.
· Experience of working with C#.
· Experience of working with ORM tools.
· Experience of
* Working in an agile environment (Scrum, XP, RUP, Kanban).
* Pair Programming.
* Test Driven Development.
* Stakeholder collaboration.
· Experience of working with source control solutions (SubVersion ideally).
· Ability to work autonomously or as an integral part of a team.
· Must be able to work with other areas of IT, e.g. service, to remove blockages.
· Must have excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable
· Experience of working with parameterised SQL.
· Experience of working with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery.
· Experience of working with SQL Server Integration Services.
· Experience of working with NoSQL solutions (Key-Value stores, column family database, document databases, graph databases).

Rate is negitiable however we are looking in the region of £300-350pd
