Business and Data Analyst
Salary: Circa £45,000 - £55,000 depending upon experience + Benefits package,
Full Time - Permanent
Location: Birmingham - UK Travel Required, Birmingham and M40 corridor mostly. Driving license and access to car required. Home working and flexibility available.
We are currently hiring for a Technical Business Analyst to join a fast growing, agile and hugely successful consultancy business operating since 1996 with significant experience of leading service transformation, IT projects & programmes and a strong ethos of working with our clients to deliver success.
Potential candidates must have a demonstrable track record of business analysis and have proven ability to converse at all levels and be highly effective communicating at a senior level. A strong, engaging, professional, delivery focused and flexible client approach is critical.
The role holder will need to be competent in the full data analysis lifecycle to include requirements gathering, solution design and reporting outputs. The business analyst will be expected to develop analysis and reporting capabilities and provide options for business improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* To elicit, review and validate business, functional and non-functional requirements in an efficient and effective way, using proven techniques
* To document requirements in a variety of formats, to suit different audiences and different stages of the project lifecycle
* To lead on key project products such as data modelling reports, data flow summaries, system and interface design documents
* Identify trends or patterns and present to various business stakeholders to enable business decision making.
* Experience of analysing different business environments and cultures at a strategic and tactical (process) level
* Influencing within the client facing role and at an internal operational level.
* Building and fostering effective cross-functional working relationships.
* Driving and defining timescales for business change.
* Identifying and developing relationships with key influencers.
Skills & Attributes
* An influencer, with excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.
* Previous engagement as a Business Analyst on data centric projects.
* Excellent communication skills - face to face, orally and written.
* Competent on the use of IT to undertake report writing and analysis - e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
* Proven experience of the full IT projects lifecycle and of scoping activities.
* Proven experience of stakeholder analysis and stakeholder engagement to a senior level.
* Good understanding of ICT systems and future trends, proven experience in the use of IT to enable and drive business processes and business change activities.
* Proficiency in IT and business change processes and projects.
* Proactive, self-motivated, enthusiastic and professional manner.
