Senior Network Engineer, £45-50k per annum, Wolverhampton
My reputable client is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to work in an established team delivering Infrastructure projects across a wide variety of technologies such as Servers, Storage, Software and Communications. Does it sound interesting? If yes, then this job is for you!
Your responsibilities:
* To support Cisco hardware and software platform.
* To be responsible for planning, implementing and handover of projects
* To be able to keep network hardware and software versions within supported and best practice levels * To test and implement changes to Infrastructure to support service continuation/improvement and application projects
* To maintain the quality of the documentation
* To provide support and involvement in problem management
* To secure network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access.
* To engage and co-ordinate activities with various stakeholders and 3rd party vendors
Skills and experience required:
* Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
* At least 3 years’ experience within a similar role
* Deep knowledge and understanding of network technologies including:
* LAN,
* WAN,
* Corporate Wi-Fi,
* Datacentre LAN,
* Firewall’s (ASA) including IDS/IPS (ideally firepower),
* Cisco ISE,
* Network Management applications and network related security
* Current Cisco certification to at least CCNP level
* Experience within Voice technologies (Skype for Business)
