An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Operations Manager (Service & Cloud) to work for one of the most reputable digital businesses in the UK in their Leeds office. The firm has experienced year on year growth since its establishment and has ambitious plans to become one of the leading digital players of the future.
The primary objective of the role is the continual operation and improvement of both cloud services and web infrastructure, as well as the smooth operation of live web services and applications. This 3rd party relationship needs to be managed from both a service and technical perspective, including performance management and monitoring agreed SLA’s.
In addition, this role will be responsible for the management of a small team of Infrastructure Engineers, responsible for configuring servers at a software level, rather than racks and hardware.
ESSENTIALS:
* Experience of dealing with cloud & infrastructure issues at service management leadership level.
* Service background - provision of high performing / mission critical systems 24/7 x 365
* Process improvement - increase efficiency with cost savings where possible
* Stakeholder management - confidently manage major incidents at C-level.
* Persona - resourceful, mature, resilient, credible with gravitas
DESIRABLES:
* Experience supporting always on, high volume, business critical websites
* Knowledge of cloud "Infrastructure as a Service” technologies and solutions.
The company is owned by a truly global brand and would thus provide a stable and innovative working environment. For this reason, the position on offer is rare and exciting, enabling the successful candidate to genuinely make a difference whilst further developing their career.
