My client (A leading financial services news and data provider) is currently seeking a Head of Technical Alliances to manage the technical relationships with key 3rd parties and partners who are or are looking to integrate data into their own solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the leading software vendors in support of anti-money laundering, anti-terrorist financing, & risk mitigation efforts within financial services companies.

Job Summary
In this position, the Head of Technical Alliances will look to take on the technical management of all current and prospective 3rd party relationships and partners who integrate content and information from the Financial Crime and Reputational Risk busines. This role will look to establish and run the engagement strategy for these organisations as well as supporting the broader indirect channel strategy. At the heart of this indirect strategy is the need to ensure that commercial aims are addressed across the Partner network through the building and maintenance of deep technical relationships.
One of the key effects that this role seeks to have is that their data is seen as the ';data of choice’ when a partner is presenting their solution to a client, and thereby driving revenue through this indirect channel. This role will look to ensure that all current Partners are apprised of new developments; understand the value of integrating and using these enhancements, and how the benefits of these enhancements translate to end-user value. To achieve this it is seen that this person must be able to build deep relationships with a vendor’s IT and Business Owners, provide technical expertise, conduct thorough needs analysis for identification of appropriate solution engagement, uncover potential opportunities and objections, and assist in defining the competitive positioning that these initiatives offer. For existing partners this role would look to maintain close working relationships with to ensure that they are aware of what changes are being made that they need to plan for and schedule for technical .
Principal Responsibilities
* Indirect Strategy
* Conduct an assessment into the revenue contribution of current Partners so as to understand the priority and segmentations that can be applied.
* Define commercial goals based on my clients commercial assumptions.
* Working within the Partner Framework formulate a global engagement strategy.
* Establish KPI’s against which vendors (new and existing) can be assessed.
* Vendor relationships
* Present one-page business justification for continued engagement with existing or for net new partners.
* Develop and foster good working relationships based on the initial segmentation of vendors.
* Identify and deliver an appropriate communication framework for ongoing dialogue.
* Work with vendors to support their RFP’s that include data requirements.
* Technical Knowledge
* Become a product expert on my client’s data and the delivery mechanism (feeds and API’s).
* Mentor ';Technical Pre-sales’ based on a deep understanding of the data and the associated feeds and API’s.
* Provide technical and solution expertise on my client’s suite of products to vendors.
* Assist vendors in requirements gathering and solution scoping to recommend best fit solutions and configurations.
* Consult on industry ';Best Practices’ and screening strategies.
* Assist direct sales with "3rd party filter” selection and coordination, acting as the industry filtering expert.

Minimum Qualifications
* Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
* Minimum of 6-8yrs professional experience in a solutions or technical sales capacity.
* An equivalent combination of education and professional experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Knowledge and Skills
* Successful candidate should have the following:
* Proven track record in solutions sales, or consultative technical support.
* Knowledge and experience working with raw data (text, flat file, XML, etc) in an analysis or data management capacity highly desired.
* Analytical capacity to qualify prospects and determine business requirements, translating those into winning solutions.
* Prior experience or knowledge of financial services or compliance a plus.
* Prior experience or knowledge of BSA/AML/CFT systems, data, or processes a huge plus.
* Professional communication skills (verbal and written) a must.
* ';Can do’ attitude - able to juggle shifting priorities.
* Ability to accomplish goals and tasks under tight deadlines.
