Solution Designer / Designer's are needed for a leading insurance company. As the acting Solutions Designer you will be responsible for the following;

- assist the gathering of business requirements,
- propose IT solutions to business requirements, -
- create, or ensure the creation of, high level and end-to-end detailed designs to document the agreed IT solution
- assist the programme / project management to estimate, size and plan design activity needed to deliver the proposed solution
- provide guidance and governance during detailed design and build of the solution
- ensure that designs are agreed, visible, understood and consistent
- ensure that designs are aligned with other portfolio activities to exploit opportunities for re-use and to highlight dependency issues
- ensure that design activity is compliant with QMS processes


ESSENTIAL:

*Design Skills
*Agile experience
*Strong influencing skills
*Mature approach to handling conflict
*Understanding of change and/or IT frameworks
*Strong functional design experience
*Non-functional/service design experience

DESIRABLE:

*A good understanding of Service Orientated Architecture and Enterprise Architecture
*Budget control
*Knowledge of visual modelling (eg UML), Requirements gathering, Business modelling
*Macro design documentation
