Bachelor degree in computer science. Highly desirable Microsoft certification in Server 2003 / 2008 and SQL Server.
3 years of working experience of which 1.5 years providing second or third line support for third party package systems with client service level agreements. Knowledge and experience in ITIL terminology. Intermediate experience and knowledge of SQL. Basic experience and knowledge in a wide variety of predominately Microsoft desktop and server technologies including web. Basic experience in software development and testing approaches and techniques. General understanding and experience of business processes, models and needs.
Job Tasks
- Gather business and system information from client and capture useful knowledge about the systems in a logical area such as a Wiki.
- Assess each system incident and system request to determine whether more information is required for its completion.
- Apply problem resolution skills using the information provided to fix the incident or complete the system request within the target SLA.
- Create periodic reports showing actual performance against the clients SLA.
