My Client is an exciting and innovative London based start-Up looking for a Senior Ruby Developer to join their team who take a fresh approach to how technology can be utilised by businesses. Working under the CTO you will be leading the development team as it grows under you, a growth you will benefit from as well … as the business grows so will your career. My client work in a fast paced agile environment defined by pragmatism and the strong desire to constantly learn and find new solutions to problems.
What you will be doing:
Hands-on development - back-end, front-end, server-side, client-side, testing scripts, you name it
System design and architecture - you should be happy at a whiteboard, thinking in the abstract
Estimating time scales and working with the sales team on proposals
Refining the development processes as the business grows and evolves
Technical support for the operations team, the writer network, and clients
Supporting, managing and improving monitoring and automatic recovery of servers and services
Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in the Ruby and general web development communities
Helping to recruit your team members and guide them on how things should be done
You will be
A good communicator - as comfortable helping clients with API integration work or defining workflows with non-technical colleagues as you are debating data models with fellow developers
Dedicated, professional, pragmatic, and flexible.
Happiest working in a small, fast-paced start-up
