A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical specialist, with experience in problem management and avoidance, to work for one of the UKs fastest growing stores at their HQ in Leeds. The company has a fast paced environment, and every day is an adventure.
The primary objective of the role is to provide support across their server, storage and virtual VMWare infrastructure. It is crucial that the post holder has strong experience technically, in troubleshooting complex and challenging problems, accompanied with strong customer service support skills.
The role will also involve probem management for escalated incidents, capacity management, performance management and enhancing their monitoring solutions.You should be able to follow ITIL best practises, and maintain a stable environment whilst being proactive to avoid and reduce incidents.
You should be proficient with:
Enterprise Level Storage Environments (1000+ users)
MS Windows and/ or UNIX and Linux operating systems
VMware virtual environments
Networking principles
Large strorage and backup enterprise envirnoments, including SAN
Enterprise level monitoring
A good understanding of ITIL processes, problem management and capacity planning
Excellent problem solving skills
A basic understanding of programming lanugages
Excellent communicaiton skills, both written and verbal
Monitoring 3rd line support
The position is commutable from all regions surrounding Leeds, Huddersfield, Harrogate, Wakefield, Bradford, and Halifax with free, on site parking for all employees.
