Business Manager is required by my client to act as the single point of contact for internal clients across the business.
A key requirement of the role is to be responsible for managing, advising and consulting on the overall strategic relationship with clients as they migrate content and sites onto a new digital Platform / engage services provided by the digital platform team.
Key Accountabilities include:
* Build and maintain a complete digital service and platform offer for all the Clients Communicators, contributing to the on-going development of the Digital Strategy, Policies, Procedures and Guidelines
* Owner of the core digital platform exerting influence upon the client’s use of web technology
* Develop, lead and direct the team to provide expert advice to site editors, graphic designers, developers and agencies, employing innovative solutions and strategic thinking
* Identify and bring in digital subject matter experts as required to client discussions
* Responsible for the smooth running of the Digital Platforms team, morale, quality control, training needs, resourcing issues
* Engage with internal customers on how to be successful during all phases of the relationship and with tools and processes provided
* Develop and share leading practices to improve overall Client Services operations and output
* Active participant in Demand Management and prioritisation with site owners and Product Portfolio Manager
* Set up appropriate systems and mechanisms for controlling, monitoring and revising objectives and budgets as appropriate
* Work with the Information Technology & Services Manager to plan and manage yearly activity for Group Communications and their contribution to the Digital Platforms’ Strategy
* Monitor the management of relationships with external suppliers and agencies to ensure quality of service and value for money
* Evangelise Digital Platform team with internal and external clients and at targeted events, conferences and media opportunities
* Transition existing technologies to newer ones/ improved business processes
Key requirements includes:
* Creative, consultative, and a strong communicator with the ability to build strong relationships across the business
* Provide strong leadership with the ability to build, train, coach and develop a high performing team including providing coaching and mentoring to other Team members
* Significant professional services and/or account management experience, with a preferred focus on the marketing and communications digital channels
* Proven experience working in a similar role or as an Account Director within a marketing or integrated agency, managing a high profile client
* Successful track record managing accounts from product delivery to ongoing strategic support
* Experience running the day to day aspects of an operational business including stakeholder management and reporting responsibilities
* Extensive experience with producing/maintaining detailed project plans and providing customer-facing presentations at the executive level
* Solid understanding of web; internet, intranet, social media and impact on consumer
* Experience of delivering projects involving quantitative analysis, industry research and strategy development
* Experience of working with Web Development teams
Essential experience includes:
* Degree level and / or professional qualification in appropriate discipline
* Project Management Professional qualification
