My client, a large technology focussed energy supplier, is looking for an experienced Data Analyst and SQL Server Report Developer to work on a permanent basis.As a prestigious, rapidly growing organisation, this role offers long term job security in an excellent working environment. Based in Warwickshire, it is easily accessible from the M40. For the right candidate, this role is paying anything from £35,000 to £50,000 a year plus benefits, which include private health care and a performance bonus. The ideal candidate will be fully conversant in the Sql Server Business Intelligence suite (2008), designing and developing complex datamart datasets and reports using optimised coding techniques. Fluency in TSQL is therefore essential. We currently source data primarily from Postgres and increasingly Oracle systems, so familiarity in these environments would be advantageous. The successful candidate will therefore be required to understand a multitude of data architectures and be fully competent at liaising with both technical and business staff.Essential skills required: Fully conversant with the SQL Server Business Intelligence Suite (2008), particularly SSRS but also SSIS and SSAS. Excellent TSQL skills, with demonstrable experience of database performance tuning and execution plan analysis. Experience with working in a reporting/Datamart environment Experience with SQL Server BI Suite 2012 (Enterprise Edition) would be advantageous. A proactive and self-motivated approach to learning new technical skills Familiarity with Oracle and/or Postgres PLSQL would be advantageous but not essential. Familiarity with alternative reporting tool sets e.g. Tableau, ClickView, Roambi would be advantageous. Be comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical staff alike.
