Front-End Developer- Javascript, HTML5, CSS3

As a Front-End Developer (Javascript, HTML5, CSS3) for this stalworth in Media and Publishing you will be working on the largest programme currently running and responsible for major changes to the a highly trafficked consumer facing site.

In order to be considered for this role:

* A very strong background in common web technologies
* With significant exposure to (OO) JavaScript (including libraries, QA tools e.g. jsLint, Unit testing tools e.g. QUnit, Documentation tools, e.g. jsDoc)
* JQuery
* HTML5 and CSS3
* Good working knowledge of HTTP/1.1
* Some experience with creating responsive front-ends for use across multiple platforms
* An understanding of Agile development and delivery, e.g. Scrum, KanBan, etc.
* A passion for software engineering with very high standards.
* An understanding of front-end performance indicators and how to performance optimize RIAs across different platforms.
* Desirable:
* Comfortable in a Linux/Unix (but not exclusively so) environment
* Experience with the rapid production of POCs and prototypes
* Familiarity with JS design patterns
* Experience with version control systems like SVN and GIT
* Implementation experience with Node.js
* Use of cloud infrastructure like Heroku/Amazon
* Use of build tools like Maven, Ant and Grunt.
