My Nottingham based client is currently looking for an experienced SQL DBA to join their team in the city centre. You will be involved with the Development team and third parties to resolve any database issues and manage and implement all Chane's in line with the IT strategy and standards.You will need to prioritise your workload and be easily adaptable to any changes as well as being able to communicate effectively with non-technical areas of the business. It will also be your responsibility to monitor and support the databases to ensure reliability at all times.
Skills required are:
·High attention to details and be able to effectively interpret business requirements
·SQL Server experience including replication, SSIS, SSRS, Database Mirroring, Log Shipping and Performance Tuning
·SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008 in a 24/7 environment
Desirable Skills:
·MCTS and MCITP certification is advantageous
·Working knowledge of a regulated environment
·Experience of managing Data Warehouses and SSIS load routines
·Large scale data migration awareness.
