Well known services organisation with positive client-centric culture require an IT Director to take accountability for operating and growing their ICT business offering.
The role will provide strategic direction for the IT Service proposition across the business, including excellent service provision to multiple existing accounts, while ensuring a profitable, cost effective and efficient business model. The successful candidate will ensure that the IT Services team has a compelling and attractive offer when bidding for new accounts leveraging knowledge across the group and building on economies of scale where appropriate.
Responsibilities:
- Set IT strategy linked to overarching group objectives defining and delivering a clear, ambitious but achievable business plan.
- Deliver multi-million pound turnover service lines to multiple clients meeting year on year growth targets.
- Develop and own the model for IT service across a complex group communicating strategy and gaining buy-in from all parties.
- Ensure proactive and efficient services are provided by each dedicated team (and the team as a whole) and develop team members ensuring a strong senior team are in place who are able to build lasting client relationships at a senior level.
- Deliver efficiency improvement initiatives to exceed client expectations and improve business profitability.
- Promote best practice and encourage a focus on continual improvement and measurement of service against meaningful KPIs and SLAs.
- Become a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and external clients identifying opportunities and risks and implementing appropriate governance in line with future business plans.
- Work with Partner/Account Directors to develop plans that focus on client priorities, revenue and contribution targets and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to the development of market leading propositions to convert new clients and contracts.
Experience & Personal traits required:
- Will have led IT Strategy for a complex organisation; ideally a client focused service provider or outsourcer.
- Must have evidence of delivering IT Service to a complex organisation and to multiple customers (public sector insight is advantageous).
- Must have led large multi-disciplined team (ideally 200+ staff), gaining buy in and encouraging service excellence and strong client focus.
- Will have excellent commercial acumen, be very comfortable with significant PnL responsibility and have evidence of meeting growth targets and improving business profitability.
- Will have experience of driving efficiencies and delivering innovative strategies to reduce cost.
- Able to develop strong relationships with senior stakeholders in the private and public sector.
- Able to work effectively in complex organisational model building relationships in a matrix structure.
- Evidence of delivering profitable services in-line with client priorities, meeting expectations.
- Able to think strategically and keep ahead of the market, leading the way with new market propositions.
- Must be a credible leader, strong influencer, communicator and change champion with a resilient nature and strong emotional intelligence.
