Infrastructure Project Manager - Citrix
Infrastructure Project Manager is required by our client to perform a Global Citrix Upgrade throughout the company across the hosting, network and end user domains.
A key requirement of the role is to manage the service transformation of the Citrix environment and the end of serviceable life projects for key software / hardware components of end user / hosting / security / service management services. The role will also require the individual to act in the Programme Managers place from time to time.
Key accountabilities include:
* Accountable for the delivery of projects allocated within the portfolio from initiation to handover to operations.
* Create, select and gain acceptance of the project strategy that is most appropriate to meeting the requirements and delivers optimum value.
* Ensure the business case and benefits realization plan is translated into an effective project scope, schedule of work and costs.
* Manage the project following PMP methodology, ensuring that the project has a sound business case, detailed terms of reference, clear business requirements, effective risk management, quality management, change control, performance management and reporting systems and detailed plans that include milestones and deliverables that will bring the project in on time and under budget.
* Manage the project budget.
* Manage risks, resource conflicts and any interdependency between projects and their integration into the organization.
* Manage the business relationship and other key stakeholders, and ensure that the project remains fully aligned to business strategies.
* Manage suppliers including outsourced IT service partners to enable delivery of projects and embedding into operations.
* Implement best practice standards in project delivery management and governance and provide assurance on project delivery and business value improvement.
* Ensure adherence to detailed processes as defined within the department as well as to the clients architecture and applications standard.

Key requirements include:
* A sound project management background with suitable accreditation (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2).
* Core competence in Planning, Cost Estimating, Risk Management, Resource Management & Project Delivery
* Experience working with technical and non-technical teams across a broad range of IT disciplines
* Ability to engage with key stakeholders at senior levels in the business, demonstrating leadership potential
* Experience of supplier and contract management
* Strong team/resource management skills, with excellent communication (verbal and written) and good negotiation and influencing skills.
* Experience of working in a global complex organisation
* Experience of working in IT infrastructure environment, specifically with Citrix environments
* ITIL accreditation with foundation service management experience.
