Principle Developer - London - £70,000pa

A Principle Developer is required to work as part of a fast paced development team within a large media/publishing company. The role is for a SOA middleware project which is running concurrently with a project to rebuild the CMS that powers 100+ websites, and also to provide various services to another one of our companies that provides financial reports and analysis. This middleware is to provide content, security and semantic meta-tagging services to these apps. Ideal candidates would come from a start-up or start-up like environment working with a mix of .Net and open-source tools.

A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

* Excellent communication skills
* C#
* SQL Server
* MVC
* Strong WebAPI
* Strong REST
* Strong knowledge of HTTP
* Strong TDD/Mocking (knowledge of BDD with Specflow too would be even better)
* SOLID principles
* Agile (Scrum/Kanban etc)
* Strong Javascript experience (through frameworks such as JQuery, KnockOut, BackBone, Angular etc)
* Experience of Jira would be useful, but not essential
* Experience of media/finance would be useful but not essential
* Knowledge of NOSQL DBs (esp MarkLogic) would be useful but not essential
* Knowledge of XQuery would be useful but not essential
* Experience of working with offshore teams would be useful but not essential
