Job Title: Supply Chain Developer - Contract RoleReports to: IT Supply Chain Manager - Project DeliveryLocation: Leicester with occasional travel to Dublin and LondonContract Length: 3 monthsContract Rate: £400-450Overall Job Purpose and Project BackgroundMy client is seeking a Supply Chain development resource to assist in a bigger programme of development that will include solution analysis and possible application change within our Supply Chain architecture, predominantly the Oracle Retail RMS Merchandising application.The role will mean working as part of the existing Supply Chain team and is likely to involve working on one or multiple projects that may result in changes to the existing Retek interfaces or architecture as part of the design solution.There may also be a need for requirements capture and assisting with solution design, therefore good business analysis/solution design skills would be an advantage.The role will be Leicester based, but may involve short term travel to both London and Dublin, for which travel expenses will be paid.Skills / ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have all or a combination of the following skills:· At least 5 years technical experience in an Oracle development environment plus 3 years' experience in UNIX.· Strong Oracle (10g), Unix AIX (6.1), SQL, PL/SQL, ProC and shell scripting skills are essential· Expert functional knowledge of key retail Supply Chain architecture and processes · Experience of Retek RMS in a development/support environment would be advantageous as would experience of Uniqb, BMC Patrol. Oracle Forms and Reports are also preferable.· Experience of BI tools or Retail E-Commerce applications would be an advantage· Excellent communication, organisation and planning skills.· Strong business analysis skills and experience of solution design would be an advantage· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.· An ability to work to tight deadlines and within defined constraintsExperience of delivering clear and professionally written documentation, including Business Requirements, Technical Requirements and project based deliverables that can be shared with 3rd party partners.![]()
