My client is a fast paced, growing technology business who are currently multiple projects and programmes. Due to the speed of their growth they are looking to improve their processes and techniques in how they run and deliver projects.
They have around 300 staff at present with close to £100million turnover, but they have aggressive growth plans with projects right across the business including IT, Finance, Back Office, operating models and how they can increase productivity/profitability.
This role will report into the Head of PMO who currently runs a small but important team. You will be requested to manage the day to day progress and tactical aspects of multiple or large scale projects. You will review high level deliverables across projects, implementing appropriate levels of Governance, controls and review engagement - to ensure Right First Time.
You will also manage scope and mitigate risks. You will champion and drive use of PM disciplines with a fast paced environment.
The company drives an Agile approach right across the business, so you must have previous experience of running with Agile and everything it is, although this must be balanced by solid process techniques. You will have to build good relationships with Head of Divisions quickly and have the gravitas to make a confident impact from day 1.
You will be able to adapt to the environment and be cool under pressure, as sometimes things change daily. You will be a good leader, sometimes to people outside of your team to install confidence and increase your internal brand.
Experience of the Utilities industry is a massive bonus and looked for; or experience in the Telecoms environment would be good also. Prince2, MS Project certifications are also looked for.
