A global fast paced business with a large presence in Manchester is currently seeking a Purchasing Specialist/Buyer for a 6month contract.
To be considered for this role it is imperative that you have a strong background in purchasing with a strict focus on governance and commercial negotiations. This is a new function to the business and as such they would like the successful candidate to come in, review existing supplier relationships, identifying potential savings in line with FY13 Budget whilst negotiating and selecting new suppliers were applicable.
The role will also see the successful candidate assessing with the selection of an automated PO process as part of the Sage upgrade programme in Finance, developing purchasing policies and procedures including standard T&C’s in line with best practice.
An eye for detail will be key with strong negotiation, cost control and governance experience.
