Assistant Director - IT Service Delivery

£80K + Package

This role is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Service Delivery expert to join an internationally recognised brand based in Milton Keynes. Reporting directly to the CIO and forming part of the senior management team the Assistant Director of Service Delivery will be responsible for a team of 60 people which will include 3 senior line managers.

You will play a key role in the transformation of the companies IT services and capability. You will achieve this by championing and leading the drive for service excellence and the introduction of world class methods and standards.

You will have specific senior level experience of implementing service delivery methods with demonstrable business value. Fully conversant with modern systems and project and operational IT methodologies, you will have excellent interpersonal, negotiation skills, and business acumen.

Essential Knowledge and Experience

* Business or technology based degree, professional qualification or equivalent work experience
* Proven demonstrable experience in IT / business, including service delivery, systems lifecycle management, infrastructure planning and operations
* Proven leadership; managing, developing and motivating cross-functional teams both direct and matrix to deliver services
* Significant exposure to managing vendors in the delivery of projects and services
* Understanding of Service Level Agreements and provision of ';World Class’ service levels
* Commercially aware and business focused; takes time to understand how IT service provision relates to overall business strategy
* Proven experience of implementing frameworks to encourage an effective Service team (e.g. ITIL elements) and proven experience of implementing streamlined processes
* Experience of handling significant budgets and able to analyse ROI
* Strives for service excellence
* Led service and operational change management that accompanies large-scale technology and process transformations
* Proven experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external business partners
* Excellent technical awareness
* Ability to understand business drivers and pressures
