Analyst Programmer, Developer, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, Financial Services, Actuaries, Pensions, Investments
C# .NET developer required on a permanent basis for one of the UK’s leading pensions, investment and benefit organisations.
Salary - 35000-55000 per annum + bonus and benefits (multiple headcount)
Key responsibilities will include:
? Producing and promoting high-quality C# code and SQL Server logic for browser-based, desktop based and service-oriented applications and frameworks.
? Building an interest in and experience of F# code with appropriate application.
? Demonstrating experience and interest in writing automated tests using the leading test frameworks.
? Routinely using code quality and ';clean code’ practices.
? Gathering requirements formally and informally through frequent interactions with business users
? Producing functional, technical and design documentation where necessary.
? Keeping abreast of the latest tools, techniques and best practice in software engineering
Key Experience Required:
? Graduate calibre or equivalent experience
? Demonstrated hands on experience with as many as possible of the following: ASP.NET MVC 3 (or above), C#, F#, SQL Server, Winforms, WPF, Silverlight, LINQ, JavaScript.
? Interest / knowledge / experience of functional programming styles, F#, parallel programming techniques and / or high-performance computing would also stand the candidate in good stead.
? Proven ability to work in a test-focussed / continuous delivery environment.
? Able to translate end user / business requirements into specifications and in turn into robust solutions.
? Able to think innovatively and ';think outside the box’ as well as seek improvements to processes and applications to meet evolving business needs
? Able to communicate at all levels internally, externally with suppliers, and with clients.
? Good planning skills and ability to prioritise workload and juggle sometimes conflicting demands.
? Strong analysis and technical skills.
