My client is a market leading innovative Software Company with a strong global footprint. Their teams are made up of some of the best Subject Matter Experts in their fields. This is an exciting company to join. They are currently looking for some QA resource on their BI system on a short term basis. They are MS SQl based therefore you will need good SQL experience and knowledge for this contract.Below is a summary or the role responsibility:- Manage or contribute to all aspects of QA for an significant DW/BI project (SAP impact on BI) including regression tests, integration tests and UAT- Review regression test strategy / approach- Define tests plan for all QA phases with IT and business- Execute test plan document issues and defects, including relevant brief descriptions of the issue with detailed steps to replicate- Execute test cases, scripts and procedures (manual and automated).- Track defects to resolution, perform root cause analysis- Define and contribute to QA environments set up and maintenance for QA purpose- Contribute to the process and queries optimisation (performance tuning etc
) if possible- Ensure the solution before UAT answer requirements and identify issues pro-actively- Ability to interact efficiently with all project's roles including Project manager, architect, developer, BA, DBA, business users- Support the UAT with the business to track their progress and act as an interface between developers and business from issue identification to resolution- Advanced SQL query writing for testing purpose and Ability to use SSAS Cube- Use of QC or Testlink is a plus, use of a similar tool is required- Ability to contribute to Excel and Cognos report re-factoring is a plusIf you feel you match this requirement well then please don't hesitate to send me your CV in the first instance.![]()
