An experienced Infrastructure specialist is required to work in a leading Global organisation whose offices are based in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop your career in a supportive & growing organisation.
You will have proven experience with Windows 2003/2008 operating systems. Ideally you will hold an IT related degree and if you are MCDST, MCSA, MCSE or MCITP qualified this would also be of great advantage. It would also be beneficial if the successful candidate had Hyper-V, Blackberry and Windows PowerShell experience, however not essential. In addition you will have experience of Microsoft Exchange 2003 and ideally 2010. My client works with HP Network Printers and Dell servers, desktops and laptop hardware. Any experience of Cisco, Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 7 would be advantageous.
This is an exciting role which will see you being responsible for driving the visibility of infrastructure within the business. You will define and manage all UK based Infrastructure projects, driving the environments forward within the business. This will include ensuring end-users are adequately trained to utilise delivered services. You will define process of how my client supports and interfaces with other teams. Therefore, you will have excellent communication skills. You will maintain agreements and upgrades, truly leading and owning all infrastructure in the UK. Regularly communicating with the business you will guide and lead from the front. Therefore, you will be a confident communicator with a passion for the service you will be providing.
You will be responsible for one other member of staff. You will work together to fully support all 350 users, this will include out of hours support (which is only occasionally called upon). Responsibilities include, but not limited to PC, Operating Systems, networks, telecommunications, mobility and desktop application support. You will be a confident trouble shooter who enjoys a challenge.
You will be a customer focused individual with strong interpersonal skills as well as communication skills both written and verbal. You will also be very comfortable at delivering presentations. You will be able to liaise with all levels of business users and have the ability to work to agreed timescales.
Based in West Yorkshire the role is commutable from Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Halifax, Wakefield , Pudsey, Horsforth, Ilkley, Otley, Harrogate and surrounding areas.
