Enterprise Systems Knowledge Management Analyst - Uxbridge
My client, a high profile oil & gas company is looking for a Enterprise Systems Knowledge Management Analyst to join their team in Uxbridge.
Role Synopsis:
Strategy & Architecture is the organization within Enterprise Systems (ES) which provides the overall strategy and roadmaps, solution architectures, identifies emerging technologies, and hosts the Design Authorities. The ES Knowledge Management Analyst requires a broad view of application system solutions, the systems development lifecycle, and a pragmatic focus on system operations and silent running.
This role reports to the Global Continuous Improvement Manager and is responsible for assisting with rollout and support of the use of Solution Manager for the storage of solution information assets.
Key Accountabilities:
· Responsible for creating and deploying tools that are consistent with the Architecture standard for use of Solution Manager as the repository for SAP application systems solution information assets.
· Contributes to continuous improvement of Knowledge Management standards.
· Provides training and support for use of Solution Manager for storage of solution information assets.
· Assists with SAP project migrations and transfer of solution information assets from existing repositories to Solution Manager.
· Assists with maintenance of various lists or tables (named approvers etc.) needed to maintain functionality and integrity of the Solution Manager repository for storage of solution information assets.
· Assists with report generation and review of meta data concerning solution information assets stored in Solution Manager by application system, project, or organizational views.
· Liaises with the GCSS (formerly ISDC) tools and licensing service manager / SAP Operations Centre (formerly B&SS) applications managers on any tools support issue dealing with Solution Manager or application system solution information.
Serves as a team member of the Solution Information Assets in SolMan CoE.
Essential Criteria:
· Knowledge of tools which support intellectual capital (Solution Manager, Remedy, CMDB, SharePoint)
· Good knowledge of software delivery methodologies preferably in SAP products (SDLC / Smart / PCP)
· Ability to work cross geography (globally) in a matrix organisation
· Proven ability to work independantly with limited direct supervision and prioritise / deliver against tight deadlines
· Experience with SAP life cycle work (configuration or development)
· Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills
· Proven troubleshooting and problem solving skills
· Managing or participating with a small or medium sized applications systems development or support project beginning to end including business requirements capture, design, build, testing, deployement, and support
Proven aptitude to acquire usable skills for use of knowledge managemnet tools
Desirable Criteria:
· Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
· Experience with working within an IT function within major Oil &Gas Companies
· Experience using Solution Manager
· Knowledge or experience with business process modeling (ARIS or similar)
· Knowlledge or experience with system change management tools (Remedy or similar ticketing tools)
· Experince or knowledge with SAP access roles
Knowledge or experience using the ITIL framework
