Software Test Analyst - Milton Keynes - £28,000 - £34,000My Milton Keynes based client (a leading Software house) is looking to expand their team of talented Software Test Analysts.You will work in and as a part of an agile team collaborating with developers, business analysts and solutions architects as necessary. The role will cover the whole test life-cycle including preparation of test environments, test plans, setting up test data, writing test scripts in Manual and Automation and executing tests. Key role responsibilities; · Write test plans and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.· Utilise test harnesses for validating data input and output.· Set up test envioronment as necessary.· Devise performance, load and stress testing techniques.· Perform software testing in accordance with company test standards and practices and the Test Team Leader's instruction.· Conduct interim release reviews and advise developers on the adequacy of unit test coverage.· Actively collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, subject matter experts and developers to ensure design specifications are understood.· Provide estimates to the Test Team leader.· Provide support for operations and customers.Key skills / qualifications;· Minimum of 5 years manual software testing experience in a Microsoft environment with experience of working on bespoke systems· ISEB qualified to foundation level· Should have had exposure to the whole test lifecycle· Experienced test script and test plan writer· Knowledge of defect management, change control and release processes· Strong communication skills - written and verbal· Knowledge of Visual Studio Team System· Knowledge of VMware · Detailed Knowledge of SQLIf you feel you match this skill set well and would be interested in a Permanent position based in Milton Keynes, please send in your CV.![]()
