We are searching on behalf of our Leicestershire based client for a Test Analyst to work on a permanent basis. It is working for a high profile, extremely well known retailer. My client has outlined experience of web based testing, as well as a good knowledge of JIRA, as prerequisites to the role. In addition, having worked in an agile environment would be a huge advantage. Duties/Responsibilities/Must Have/DesirableLiaising with Project Managers, Business Analysts and developers to understand requirements for projectsIf required assist in the development of QA test strategies and plans for projects and defining test requirementsReviewing tests written by the development team and other test team membersDesigning and executing test scriptsFacilitating the company's ongoing auditing process to ensure cross company adherence to existing policy and procedureLogging, reviewing and evaluation of personal defects found during SDTCAttending and actively taking part in project meetings, testing forums and QA weekly meetingsTake an interest in personal development by investigating into testing techniques, tools, conferences, etcHighlight and raising risks during SDTC to test lead and managerCompiling applicable test data for use during various testing stagesAttending and actively taking part in lessons learnt following installation into productionMust HaveYou will have prior experience in a QA / Test related role, defining test plans, test cases, execution and quality processesYou will have excellent communication skills and will operate confidently and professionally in a team environmentYou will be enthusiastic, keen to learn and enjoy working in a dynamic environmentYou will be able to solve problems in a logical manner and have a strong attention to detailHave experience in hardware as well as software testingBeen involved in UAT, SIT, Functional and regression testingUnderstand the various levels that make up a waterfall and v-model testing lifecycleISTQB/ISEB Foundation in Software TestingCompleted Dunelm Testing Masterclass course1+ years' experience as a junior test analystDesirableUse tools to automate tests where possible, ideally including nUnit, Selenium, QTPAble to write and execute SQL queries and scripting language for investigating into defects or issuesAble to read/amend XML filesAs always, good communication skills are a must.
