Delivery Manager - Sunbury
My client, a high profile oil & gas company, is looking for a Delivery Manager to join their Upstream Learning Centre team in Sunbury.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Upstream Learning Centre Project Manager
· Ensure compliance with applicable HSSE policies and procedures that are relevant to the execution of IT works.
· Manage IT selected vendors to develop and implement an integrated Delivery Plan.
* Track IT works progress according to the Delivery Plan and report as necessary
* Manage IT activities to deliver on agreed targets and Risk Assessment Matrix actions
· Communicate and coordinate day-to-day delivery activities within the project team and assure that priorities are developed and known.
* Identify constructive interventions where necessary to keep the delivery on track and facilitate or make those interventions appropriately and effectively.
* Assure that project milestones / targets are clearly communicated understood within and outside the project such that the appropriate parties can marshal resources and activities to align with project delivery.
* Participate in daily toolbox talks with Artisans and Tradesmen assuring that all are informed of all daily activities within the Learning Centre
· Accept deliveries of IT equipment into the Learning Centre
* Liaise with the Artisans and Tradesmen and ensure that deliveries are correct
* Assure that Technical equipment is kept in a safe and secure area
· Manage and resolve conflicts between the IT&S delivery activities and construction contractor delivery plan
· Accept Rooms from the Contractor for installation by Artisans and Tradesmen
* Assure that rooms are dust free and air-conditioning is stable.
* Assure that door locks are off construction locks
* Assure that Floors are protected.
· Accept Technical Furniture from Suppliers for Installation
Participate in the preparation and hand-over of IT facilities into the "Operate” teams
Experience & Knowledge:
· Experience of working on a Construction Project
· Experience working on a Hardware project
· Relevant PM accreditation (e.g. PMP, PRINCE 2)
· CSCS Accreditation
· A sound project management background gained within an international organisation managing projects through the entire project lifecycle.
· Core competence in Planning, Risk Management, Performance Management, Quality & Delivery Assurance.
· Experience working with technical and non-technical teams across a broad range of IT disciplines.
· Implementation of best practice standards in project delivery management and governance.
· Assurance and track record of collective project delivery and business value improvement.
· Ability to assess integrity and appropriateness of potential IT solutions
· Excellent record of Stakeholder Management
· A record of project delivery
