UAT Test Lead/Manager - Contract - Bradford (West Yorkshire)
Purpose of Role:
We have an exciting contract opportunity for a UAT Test Lead / Manager to join our Testing Centre of Excellence department for 6 months. The UAT Test Lead / Manager will Coordinate and manage the planning and test delivery for UAT on projects. You will be responsible for managing all resources and deliverables on assigned tasks, provides support and advice on all testing aspects relating to the project and would typically also perform a 'hands-on' testing role.
Within the role, you will manage relationships with project stakeholders both inside Change Delivery and outside such as Business Stakeholders and Business Testers.
Essential skills:
· Proven experience of testing and experience of working through a number of full UAT lifecycle projects.
· Experience of testing on retail banking projects is desired
· Experience of working on projects with different development methodologies e.g. Waterfall, Agile, RAD etc
· Experience of writing UAT test plans and gaining stakeholder approval
· Experience of test estimating and resource planning
· Experience of delivering UAT projects in the past with the involvement of multiple business areas
· Strong business stakeholder management skills
· Experience of working with 3rd parties and involving them in the planning and execution phases of testing
· Experience of running a UAT Project with a team made up of testing professionals and seconded business resource
· Experience of defining requirements for test environment, and test data
· Experience of performing test governance on all testing deliverables
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
· ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software testing essential, intermediate level desirable.
· Effectively reports, evaluates and communicates test progress and results
· ALM / QC knowledge and experience
· Ability to coach and mentor team members
· Capable of designing and building comprehensive test cases with expected results that are of a high standard.
· Ability to identify and define, plan and implement testing process improvements
· Ability to understand and articulate technical issues
· Ability to lead the testing on multiple projects concurrently
· Understanding of risk and how testing is used to mitigate risk
