Data Architect - .NET/SQL

Our client, one of the world’s most recognised house-hold brands is looking for a .NET/SQL Data Architect/Modeller to join their Business Intelligence Services team within their entertainment team

The role of the Data Architect/Modeller is to transform the current architecture into an enterprise solution. As a Data Architect/Modeller you will be responsible for implementing the data architecture essential for data warehouses and analytical applications. This will include gathering data requirements, developing the data architecture design, developing logical and physical data models and building the metadata strategy.

Working within a dynamic team, we are looking for an individual who will develop and manage data models for large enterprise data warehouse domains. You’ll design, build and maintain the logical and physical data models, be responsible for the data warehouse during design & build and implement the metadata strategy.

Ideal candidate will have experience in the below:

* Extensive commercial experience within software/database development experience with data modelling experience.
* Educated in Kimball and Inmon approaches to data modelling, ability to apply these approaches and a sound understanding of the reasons behind them.
* Proficiency in data management concepts, practices and procedures; as well as extensive knowledge of data integration, data quality, multi-dimensional design and ETL tools, processes and methodology.
* Deeply skilled with conceptual, logical and physical modelling using InfoSphere Data Architect or similar data modelling product.
* Experience working with and designing large data warehouses.
* Exceptional skills in business requirements analysis with ability to translate business information needs into logical data structures
* Interpersonal skills including presentation skills, negotiating skills, conflict resolution etc.
* Strong communication skillsets. It is vital that the successful candidate can explain complex technical issues in non-technical terms to business stakeholders.
* Demonstrable experience in developing enterprise-class data architectures and solutions
* Strong knowledge of design patterns and architecture models designed to provide high performance and truly scalable platforms.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritise within parallel development cycles and aggressive timelines.
* Knowledge and experiences of SDLC methodologies e.g. Agile, Waterfall
* Excellent SQL experience
