As a successful Retail business with a unique brand growing within the UK, my client is offering an exciting opportunity to pay a key role in Organisational Development and business growth. With a key role in a business aligned HR function, you will be best placed to develop and implement effective people and business plans that add value to the bottom line. Based at Head Office supporting both central functions and Retail Operations; your ability to balance both operational and strategic objectives and tailor your approach across multiple stakeholders, will be key to your success


Key objectives and areas of accountability:

* Pro-actively support the business and Leadership Team to ensure that the people agenda is an integral part of the strategic plans and supports the execution of the business objectives.
* Manage complex Employee Relations issues, to include promoting a positive and pro-active approach to performance management
* Further develop employee communication and engagement processes and strategies
* Drive talent management activity that supports business growth, succession, behaviours and key competencies
* Promote a culture of learning and personal development where leaders are fully empowered to get the best from their people and provide clear development opportunities
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships across multiple business functions, with business leaders that may be geographically dispersed
* Develop, support and lead the rollout/ implementation of new policies, procedures and processes

Education and Experience:

* Ideally CIPD qualified or equivalent (e.g. MSc in HR) and of graduate calibre
* Experience of working in a similar level role in a HR Generalist capacity
* Experience of working within the Retail sector is essential
* Demonstrable experience of effective Business Partnering and actively contributing the success of the people and business agenda
* Proven track record in building effective relationships and influencing change with confidence and diplomacy
* Solution orientated with a high degree of commercial acumen
* Experience of working within fast-paced, highly commercial organisations with multi-site structures
