Research Media Relations required urgently for a Tier 1 Investment Bank based in the City. The successful candidate will be responsible for research media relations and, to an extent, internal communications in Europe.
* Supports the SVP, Marketing Communications, EMEA Research
* Develops strategic communications programs, especially for media relations, for all EMEA Research business groups:
* Equity, Credit, Investment Strategy, Economics, Fixed Income, Commodities and Rates & Currencies
* Identifies and manages public relations opportunities for the business across the region
* Arranges and coordinates press briefings (monthly Fund Manager Survey, global Macro Press Conferences)
* Secures, arranges and helps manage media interviews & broadcasting appearances, across all print and broadcast target media
* Deal with legal and compliance as necessary
* Provides guidance on media interaction
* Distribution of proprietary Research product to reporters on a daily basis
* Media monitoring - distribution to management of relevant press clips
* Co-ordinating & liaising with PR agencies across the EMEA region on Research product/issues
* Fields all media enquiries regarding Research
* Co-ordinating by-lined articles (from conception to execution - liaising with the author/writer/translator, to compliance and delivery)
* Providing media support function to analysts/strategists/economists e.g. arranging photoshoots, biographies, backgrounders etc
* Analysis & monitoring of regulatory issues; providing disclosure information and addressing/interpreting compliance issues internally and externally, incl. discussions and obtaining approval for all public appearances
