PMO Coordinator - London

My client a leading Media Broadcast company are looking for a PMO Coordinator to join their team.

The PMO Co-Ordinator will assist in the definition and maintenance of project management standards and processes. They will act as the central source of documentation, assisting with advising managers and teams on the best use of project management disciplines and approaches. They will also assist in the management of key initiatives supporting the strategic objectives of the Programme. This includes working closely with the Programme Director, PMO Manager and Project Managers as well as Workstream Leads in HR, Learning, Finance, Procurement, Technology and their counterparts

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Act as a reference point for PMO queries and information and an advocate for best practices in project management
· Assist and advise leaders, managers, and teams to the best use of project management disciplines and approaches.
· Maintain processes to ensure project management documentation, reports and plans are relevant, accurate and complete
· Track and report on project portfolio performance, providing a real-time, comprehensive, and prioritised view of all projects
· Develop positive relationships with managers and staff to enable the PMO to provide support including facilitation, tracking and reporting on projects
· Share lessons learned and best practices across the programme (including Central PMO), building relationships with stakeholders and brokering relationships at all levels
· Provide efficient and effective PMO support across the full range of responsibilities and to deal with queries that arise using own initiative
· Manage project registers and logs (RAID)
· Administer and Minute key meetings ensuring that all actions are documented and proactively followed-up in order to close them down as soon as possible
· Collation and preparation of high standard documents for a variety of forums including team and management meetings.
· Ensure the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion at all levels
· Carry out general research as required by the Programme Director / PMO Manager / Project Manager
· Contribute to ad hoc projects and activities within the team as a whole, as appropriate
· Present a professional image in dealing with both internal and external contacts and to act in a professional manner at all times
· Comply with the clients policies on Diversity and to apply the principles of the policy when carrying out the role

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
· Proven PMO/Project Analyst experience and knowledge of project management
· Understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management from a support perspective
· Proven experience in providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes
· Understanding of project delivery and acceptance processes within a fast-paced business environment
· Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness
· Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups
· Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
· Experienced user of MS Project and MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
· Excellent organisation and planning skills with the proven ability to deal effectively with conflicting priorities
· An understanding of the importance of timely information and reporting without compromising quality
· Experience of dealing with confidential information with tact and sensitivity
· A flexible and pragmatic approach to supporting the wider operational environment
· A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
· Proven experience of working to tight deadlines, often under pressure, effectively and often without close supervision
