Oracle DBA (10g/11g/UNIX/SOA) - Permanent - Bradford (West Yorkshire)
Main responsibilities:
- Provide Database Administration services for organisation wide, business critical relational databases residing on UNIX and Windows Server hardware.
- To provide 2nd and 3rd line database support on a 24 * 365 basis for the associated RDBMS technology stack across all development, testing and business critical production environments.
- To assist in the provision of database capacity and performance management services across the associated technology stack.
Our client is looking for a talented, customer focused and technically skilled Oracle DBA to join a busy Database support team. Working within IT Service Delivery your contribution will support both project and business-as-usual activities. Their evolving infrastructure environment currently includes but is not limited to: Oracle 10g/11g, GoldenGate, SOA/BPM, RAC, ASM, RMAN and Dataguard.

Critical Skills and Experience Required:
· Installation, upgrade and support experience of Oracle 10g/11g on UNIX
· Exposure to large scale mission critical systems
· Good database problem diagnosis & resolution skills
. An understanding of the IS development life-cycle and underlying processes
· Knowledge and experience of SQL & PLSQL
· Any experience of Oracle E-business suite would be beneficial
· Some exposure to other non-Oracle databases including Microsoft SQL Server would be an advantage
· Experience in systems analysis and business change would be an advantage
· Excellent communication skills, including negotiating, influencing and other interpersonal skills
